Action Research Possibilities - You may do any of these possibilities or create your own action research plan.
1.You are the “change agent” and “advocate” for your students who can bring about positive improvements to your school.
2.Based on what you have learned from this module, what changes would you implement in your classroom? School? District?
3.Create a plan that acknowledges the role that diversity plays in identifying and serving highly capable students in your district. Share your plan and/or your ideas with your colleagues, principal and/or district gifted coordinator.
4. Examine district plan and student demographics. Explore what changes need to be made to employ best practices for the assessment of diverse populations. Share suggestions and/or ideas with colleagues, principal and/or district gifted coordinator.
5. Develop and design an identification plan that incorporates best practices in the identification of students from diverse populations from a strengths-based approach.
6. This module introduced five sample models in practice to improve identification and/or services for diverse students. Develop and design an intervention plan using inspiration from one or a combination of these models for your own school or district.
